The focus of this call is on research and development of innovative materials, technologies, systems and concepts, which would make important contributions to Austrian climate neutrality in 2040. It is important to develop technological skills, to pick up on trends such as digitization, to strengthen Austria as an innovation location for clean energy technologies and to improve export opportunities. Main areas for future projects: Energy systems and grid, Industrial energy systems, Storage and conversion technologies, digitalization as a cross-sectional technology.
Possible usage of the funding instrument in the P2G context: Electrolyser plants and whole P2G Hubs can be funded.
