The programme mission is to find, transfer and apply solutions to the problems identified as priorities in the fields of innovation, economy and environment through multicultural and multi-stakeholder partnerships within projects whose main target will be the needs of the territories and populations of the Mediterranean.

Possible usage of the funding instrument in the P2G context: One of the specific objectives within the programme is Promoting the transition to a circular and resource efficient economy where the focus is on circular economy, green infrastructures and efficient use of renewable resources. In such endeavours sectors coupling and P2G may find its role also along the Mediterranean area.

Geographic Scope The programme covers 63 regions (NUTS 2) of EU countries Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain as well as candidate countries Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia
Eligibility Criteria legal persons of different types may participate (public and private)
Co-Financing Rate 80%
Volume The overall budget of the programme is envisioned on 225 M EUR
Duration Duration of a single project is indicatively between 24 and 36 months
Limitations There is a minimum number of participating partners required from a minimal number of different countries in a partnership
Periodicity thus far 2-3 calls launched during the programme financing period
