PoC provides support to innovative projects in early research phases, in order to ensure their pre-commercial capital for technical and commercial validation of an innovative concept. Through PoC implementation, user gets an answer if the idea/proposed solution can be further developed and whether it will work on a commercial level.
For companies seeking investors, successful implementation of innovative concept provides security that the prototype or process of further concept development is technically feasible. PoC enables implementation of comprehensive commercial and technical verification and validation of research results, with the goal of reducing technical and commercial risks, and identification of the most suitable strategy for commercialization and invention protection.
Possible usage of the funding instrument in the P2G context: In terms of P2G, PoC instrument provides an opportunity to conduct a pilot project and possibility to verify the scale-up options.
