The RES program supports German companies offering climate-friendly energy technologies in gaining a sustainable foothold in foreign markets of their choice. The focus is on the construction of a demonstration plant. It provides a solid foundation for demonstrating the capabilities of the participating companies and the basis for successful marketing. At the same time, the plant also serves to promote technologies "Made in Germany". The technology is provided by the companies as their own contribution. They receive financial support for the consulting and support services - in particular for training, information dissemination and public relations work.
Possible usage of the funding instrument in the P2G context: Power-to-gas technology has been discussed, analyzed and promoted on the platform upwards of 2011. It has established pathways to inform the public and the political players about the meaning and potential of power-to-gas. The program intends to make it easier for companies to find suitable locations for power-to-gas systems, allowing political decision-makers to better assess regional application possibilities for power-to-gas.
